George Van Meter began a serious journey
into landscape photography following a workshop he attended in Kansas City,
Missouri, in 1993. He was inspired by the work of a local professional
photographer who conducted the workshop, and has since gone on to create a
great body of work in his own right. George’s work includes photography of
Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Washington, Oregon, and Utah.
Since moving to Yakima, Washington in 1996 his
landscape work
of the Washington Coast, Olympic Peninsula, Mount Rainier, Zion National
Park, the Cowiche Canyon, and the Yakima River Canyon has been well
received.
